What towns are in the Shenandoah Valley?
The Shenandoah Valley of Virginia stretches roughly 200 miles and includes the cities of Winchester, Harrisonburg, Staunton, Waynesboro, and Lexington, plus dozens of historic towns including Front Royal, Luray, Woodstock, New Market, Bridgewater, and Buena Vista.
Northern Valley (Frederick, Clarke, Warren)
Winchester is the largest northern city and the apple capital of Virginia. Front Royal sits at the northern entrance to Skyline Drive, and Berryville anchors Clarke County's horse and wine country.
Central Valley (Shenandoah, Page, Rockingham)
Harrisonburg is the central hub and home to JMU. Luray is the gateway to Shenandoah National Park's central district, and the smaller towns of Woodstock, Edinburg, New Market, and Broadway run along the Route 11 corridor.
Southern Valley (Augusta, Rockbridge)
Staunton and Waynesboro anchor Augusta County. Lexington in Rockbridge County is home to Washington & Lee and VMI. Buena Vista, Glasgow, and Bridgewater round out the southern end.
