Billy Jack's Shack rolls out a bigger, bolder menu in downtown Harrisonburg
The downtown wing and draft spot just dropped a July menu upgrade — think a half-pound Big Iron burger, a buffalo-dill chicken sammy, wagyu sliders, and the return of their famous onion rings.
Downtown Harrisonburg's Billy Jack's Shack is kicking off July with a menu glow-up, and the lineup reads like a love letter to anyone who takes their bar food seriously.
Headlining the new menu is The Big Iron — a half-pound Angus patty stacked with BBQ sauce, applewood smoked bacon, Jameson onions, and Swiss on a brioche bun, served with fries. Alongside it, the shack's legendary onion rings are officially back on the board.
There's also a new Buffalo Dill Sammy: a country-fried chicken breast tossed in classic buffalo, drizzled with creamy dill and topped with pickles. If you're in a lighter mood, the kitchen is leaning into their new house-made Aji Verde — a Peruvian green sauce built on cilantro, garlic, onion, lime, mayo, and cotija — showing up on the brunch-only Guac Toast (sourdough with homemade guac, tomato, red onion, cotija, and an over-easy egg, with optional applewood bacon).
Rounding it out is the Tommy Boy Slider, a wagyu patty topped with sautéed mushrooms, bacon, Swiss, and blackened ranch — small format, big flavor.
The new menu is live starting July 1st at their 92 South Main Street location in downtown Harrisonburg. Whether you're grabbing wings and a draft after work or making a proper night of it, this feels like the right week to swing back through.
