The team behind PORCH+VINE is putting the finishing touches on Dolce — a new artisan gelato, espresso, and pastry shop on Main Street in Luray, and the website just went live.
Good news, Luray — Dolce is almost here. The team behind downtown Luray's beloved PORCH+VINE just launched the official website for their next-door project, and it confirms what a lot of Main Street regulars have been quietly hoping for: a proper bakery, caffè, and gelato shop is coming to town.

What Dolce will be
Think Italian caffè tradition meets Shenandoah Valley hospitality, in a beautifully curated space right on Main Street. According to the newly launched site, the menu will lean into three things Luray doesn't currently have all under one roof:
- Artisan gelato, made in-house
- Handcrafted espresso and a full coffee menu
- Fresh pastries and savory paninis, baked and prepped from scratch
The food program is being led by Pastry Chef Suzanne Chapman, alongside founders Isaac George and Tony Villa — the same trio whose fingerprints are all over PORCH+VINE's garden-to-table dinners and brunches next door. Menus will change with the seasons, designed to pair with the coffee program and, per the team, "the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains."
Why it matters for Luray and the Valley
Luray's Main Street has been quietly leveling up for a few years now, and Dolce fits the pattern — a small, chef-driven, locally-owned spot that gives both residents and Shenandoah National Park visitors a real reason to linger downtown before or after a day in the park or on the Skyline Drive.
A few things that make this one worth watching:
- It's right next door to PORCH+VINE. That means a full morning-to-evening block on Main Street: espresso and pastries in the morning at Dolce, a garden lunch or dinner at PORCH+VINE, gelato on the walk back to the car.
- Same team, same standards. PORCH+VINE has built a strong reputation for from-scratch cooking and warm service. Dolce is being built on the same DNA.
- A gelato shop in Page County. Genuine, made-in-house gelato is still rare this deep in the Valley — Dolce would be a real destination stop for anyone driving through Luray on the way to Shenandoah National Park, Luray Caverns, or the Massanutten area.
