Shenandoah National Park campgrounds
Shenandoah National Park runs five front-country campgrounds along the 105-mile Skyline Drive. Four take reservations May through October — Lewis Mountain is the lone first-come, first-served option — and Dundo handles organized groups only. No hookups anywhere in the park; all sites are tent or self-contained RV.

- Big Meadows (Mile 51) is the biggest and best-equipped — books months ahead for foliage weekends
- Lewis Mountain (Mile 57.5) is the only first-come, first-served NPS campground in the park
- No electric, water, or sewer hookups at any park campground — bring full tanks
