Big Meadows is the largest and most popular NPS campground in Shenandoah, sitting at Mile 51 in the heart of the park's Central District. 217 sites accommodate tents, RVs, and group camping (no hookups). The adjacent lodge, wayside, visitor center, and the meadow itself put hiking, dining, and ranger programs within walking distance. Reservations are required May through October and the campground sells out almost every summer weekend.
