The Woodstock Tower lookout offers a panoramic view of the Shenandoah River's seven hairpin bends winding through the valley floor — it's a quick 0.5-mile walk from the parking area and one of the best easy payoffs in the region. Downtown Woodstock is small but classic, with the Massanutten Military Academy, the historic W.O. Riley Park, and Shenandoah Vineyards just outside town. Bryce Resort is 25 minutes west for skiing and lake activities.
