The Rebecca J. Graves Regional Center for the Performing Arts of Luray, affectionately known as PAL, serves as a non-profit stage nestled in the heart of downtown Luray, Virginia. Established in 2005, PAL is a 501(c)3 organization, managed and operated entirely by a dedicated volunteer Board of Directors and a team of volunteers. Initially, from 2005 to 2006, PAL brought professional performances to various venues throughout Page County. In 2006, it found its permanent home in the former BB&T bank building, strategically located at the main intersection of historic downtown Luray. PAL's mission is to offer diverse opportunities to engage with, study, and appreciate the performing arts. It aims to enrich the community by presenting an ever-growing array of professional, high-quality entertainment. Through its own programming and collaborative efforts as an active community partner, PAL is committed to being a premier attraction that boosts the cultural and economic vitality of the region. The center frequently hosts a variety of events, from line dance parties and fundraising galas to musical performances featuring local and regional artists like Brent Gordon, Peter Fontanese, the Rock Creek Singers, and magician Wes Iseli, along with country artists such as Glen Shelton. Tickets for performances are usually available at the door, but purchasing in advance online or at local outlets like the Luray/Page County Chamber of Commerce and Visitors’ Center or Luray Copy Service is recommended. The venue is supported in part by the Virginia Commission for the Arts, the National Endowment for the Arts, the Page County Board of Supervisors, the Luray Town Council, and generous local businesses, foundations, and individuals.
